Flodden Edge cottage has breathtaking views of the Cheviots, located just outside of Wooler it is a delightful retreat for those wishing to just get away from it all and relax and recharge those batteries
Flodden Edge is a delightful 18th century stone built holiday cottage resting in the Cheviot Foothills, just outside of Wooler. It’s got the most delightful outlook with 360 degree views that will take your breath away.
If you are looking for a quiet country retreat with real comfort and character then Flodden Edge Farm is perfect. With two pretty bedrooms, solid wood flooring, a cosy living/dining area complete with real coal fire, small but well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, fridge (compartment freezer) microwave, coffee maker and auto washer, it’s the perfect home away from home escape for two or four people.
Flodden Edge is also a riding school and driving school, with stables for your horses. Two dogs are welcomed, free of charge, and a third may join you for a small supplement of £15. See more about riding and driving lessons, and stable hire below.
The property itself, is also disabled friendly, with three small steps leading up to the front door with a hand rail, or there is a ramp should you require it. It is centrally heated from the coal fire and also has back up Night Storage Heaters. Fuel and electricity is included apart from winter months when an additional £15 per week is charged.
There is a pretty enclosed garden with stunning south facing views, and parking for your cars and horse boxes / trailers.
For those of you who are looking for a riding or driving holiday a full farmhouse breakfast is also available upon request

It’s not just a holiday cottage for you, but you can bring your horses for a holiday too. The owners provide stabling, hay, grazing and bedding all on site and close to your cottage. There are fully trained and qualified staff to help you look after your horses and most of all Flodden Edge Farm has an enviable reputation for being one of the friendliest schools around, whilst providing high professional standards of horse management and tuition.

Short breaks are available out of season, otherwise weekly breaks are only available with the change over day being a Saturday.

The Foothills of the Cheviots around Flooden Edge Farm, are one of the most beautiful sights in Northumberland. You will find gorgeous little villages, lovely country walks and amazing places to explore right on your doorstep.
About 15 mins north of Wooler, Flodden Edge Farm is ideally placed to explore the more rural areas of Northumberland, yet is still close enough to drive to Alnwick and the coast if you fancy visiting some historic castles and fabulous golden beaches.
